[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide the purpose and intent of this request for proposal is to acquire and implement an online educational software solution that will support high school preparation, credit recovery, drop-out and at-risk retrieval and alternative instruction. 
- Provide an Online Educational Software solution that will have 125 pooled access to licenses for the six (6) locations, to serve 20 simultaneous accesses at each high school and 25 accesses at madison career alternative, managed/ monitored at the district level -
- Must include training and configuration to include:
• Implementation planning
• Initial training
• Implementation follow-up
• On-going professional development with program evaluation
• Resource for multiple targeted learning programs
• Broad curriculum, with emphasis on individualized learning that supports a narrow focus as needed to serve the needs of specific populations
On-line Solutions shall support:
• Must be a web-based solution.
• Desired curriculum must align with Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLS).
• The digital course content should be able to serve special education students under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) regulations.
• All courses should be designed to address a variety of learning styles and preferences such that instructional differentiation is built in, either by the automated elements of the course or by instructor option.
• Course objectives should clearly identify what the students will know and be able to do at the end of the course.
• Courses should contain elements in which the students will participate in active interaction with the course content as opposed to passive reception of content.
• Each course should utilize media-rich content and learning objects including but not limited to video, audio, animations, and simulations.
• The curriculum should feature modern pedagogical strategies that include higher order thinking skills, real world application and collaborative practice.
• Student assessment in all courses should be consistent with the course objectives and should include appropriate performance talks that go beyond repeated objective assessment items.
• Shall provide an intervention assessment component that measures students’ academic strengths and weaknesses.
• Shall have online solutions and components for GED, SAT and ACT practice exams.
• Prefer the curriculum to be available in other languages in addition to English, ideally Spanish.
• Shall provide internet access options to students, teachers, and administrators via ISP from any connected computer and/or other devices, ie; tablets, cell phone.
• The on-line solution shall be fully redundant with data storage and backs up all student data. 
• Must run with Windows 7 or higher and must work with Internet Explorer 11 the software must be multi-platform (Windows, Chrome OS, Mac OS, IOS, etc.) compatible.
• Shall support LDAP authentication for Staff via Active Directory.
• Shall support LDAP authentication for Students via Active Directory OR support authentication via NPS provide student account/password extract.
• Online resources and content MUST be hosted on domains owned by the company and not cloud content providers.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than April 3, 2020.
(3) Contract period will be for five years.
